The Amarna Revolution (ca. 1390-ca. 1295 BCE) was a period in which Egypt saw peace and prosperity as well as chaos and the most significant effect of the era on the Egyptian cultural identity was the radical and violent eruption of a counter-religion that occurred during the reign of Akhenaten. During this period Egypt had a secured military and international position. The foreign policy came to be dominated by the ideals of peaceful co-existence instead of hostile interactions and diplomacy became a dominant feature of Egypt’s foreign policy in the late 18th Dynasty.
